A BIOBLITZ IDENTIFIES 21 NEW SPECIES
Every year we learn more about the fauna and flora that live at Fly Ranch, their home. Building on research we’ve done on species at Fly, scientists from the Nevada Division of Natural Heritage did a BioBlitz to study the ecology at Fly. They documented 15 new plant species, three new snails, and two new beetles.

Fly Ranch operations, friends and family campouts, and stewardship days have been solar powered since 2018.
NEXUS INSTALLS THEIR LAGI PROTOTYPE ON THE LAND
In 2020, Fly Ranch was the site of the Land Art Generator Institute’s (LAGI) design challenge. The ten finalists were invited to Fly to begin work on their projects. In 2023, the final team, Nexus, installed a functional prototype of their carbon-neutral ferrock structure.
OH HONEY, HERE COME THE BEES
With a long-term goal to foster pollinator habitat and population at Fly Ranch, the Fly Ranch Bee team built and installed honey bee homes at Fly. We have now harvested two batches of honey.
