“I’m proud of building the community. I’m proud that the people who I like to hang out with do that kind of stuff too. I like that I’ve cultivated this world for myself, doing good and hanging out with people who like to do good stuff.”
~ LIZ CREME, BEACH CLEAN-UP ORGANIZER, BWB CORPUS CHRISTI
FLY RANCH HOSTED BWB COMMUNITY LEADERS FOR THE SPRING SUMMIT
The BWB Spring Summit at Fly Ranch brought people together around the theme “Listening to the Land,” prompting the question: how do we deepen our relationship with the land to become better stewards?
The atmosphere and environment at the [BWB Spring] Summit was one of love, compassion, camaraderie and teamwork. As a native person, I was honored to be invited as a guest and to add indigenous perspective to conversations.
~ Joseph Miller, Indigenous Community Relations Coordinator, Friends of the Inyo
